The course provider retains the participant’s personal information and other data collected on its website for the purpose of course administration and internal record keeping. It is the provider’s policy to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information, except as required for disclosure to the applicable governing body for official purposes. The course provider retains non-personal information, such as the type of internet browser and IP address used to access the course, for the purposes of internal system maintenance and virus/intrusion threat protection. At its discretion, the provider may use personal information to contact the participant with updates and promotions about relevant services; however, the provider shall not distribute, sell, or disclose the participant’s personal information, in whole or part, to any third party without the participant’s express permission. One important feature we use in Google Analytics that should be mentioned is the Demographics and Interest Reporting, which sets a third party cookie on visitors’ browsers in order to target them with Advertising on the Google Distributed Network. You can read more about the feature in the help center. Here are useful links if you would like to be removed from our Google Analytics tracking:
- Opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Preferences Manager.
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on – We collect anonymous information both directly and via use of third party services such as Google Analytics and based on Display Advertising (e.g., Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting).
